Student Union

Student Union

At LSCI currently we do not have student union. However, if any group of our students are interested they can register with National Union of Students (NUS) at  https://www.nus.org.uk/.

In order to facilitate students voice to be heard and ensure students engagement in decision making, we have Student Representatives from each cohort and programme. We believe, this arrangement will ensure positive student engagement with the affairs of the college and make our students as partners in all enhancement activities and students experience at LSCI.

Student Representation

The College will help students in selecting their representatives in a democratic way. The following procedure will be followed in selecting the student representatives each year. The principle of equal opportunity and non-discrimination will be strictly applied in the selection process.

Two representatives for each group of around 30 students will be selected on the basis of the highest and second highest number of votes received from the class.

The College will arrange a meeting for the Students Representatives in order for them to appreciate the role and responsibilities towards the College and students’ welfare.

Each representative will be invited to join the Programme Committee Meeting (PCM) and Academic and Quality Enhancement Committee (AQEC). In addition, they might be called for any meeting or interviews with an external examiner or reviewer.
