Aim of the Course

 The main educational aims of the programme are to: 

  • provide all students with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the core functions of business and management
  • critically evaluate and plan for a range of contemporary business and management scenarios.
  • develop the intellectual skills necessary to contribute to effective business practice and problem solving
  • prepare students for graduate employment, research, further study and lifelong learning by developing their intellectual, practical and key (transferable) skills
  • enhance the employability of graduates through the blend of academic study and skills development.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum of 90 credits from a Level 3 qualification such as A Levels or BTECs.
  • Advanced GNVQ
    International Baccalaureate: 24-25 points. Applicants should have English and Mathematics at either Higher Level grade 4, or Standard Level grade 5 as part of their Baccalaureate.
  • Successful completion of an approved Access course
  • IELTS 5.0

Course structure

The course is delivered over one year. It will give students 120 credits to add to their existing 240 credits to make (240+120) 360 credits required for an Honours Degree in the UK.

  • Corporate Strategy and Governance

 

ASSESSMENT

Usually, the modules will be assessed through coursework submissions and classroom presentations. Some of the modules may have written examinations.

This course will create opportunities for progression to higher education or taking up employment.
